The Fingerprint Contactless Capturing is designed to process photos of four-finger slaps, taken with a smartphone camera in a typical environment, offering an alternative to traditional fingerprint readers, which require a physical contact with the device.

The component is designed for using in a scenario, when a photo of four-finger slap is captured wth a smartphone camera and then processed on the same phone. The processing includes image quality estimation, background removal, separate fingers' detection on the image, fingerprint feature enhancement and segmentation,

The result of the image processing is a set of individual finger images, cropped and enhanced from the original photograph. These finger images are suiteble for template creation using Mobile Fingerprint Extractor or Mobile Fingerprint Client components.

Integrators may also consider Slap Verification SDK for creating mobile applications with similar functionality, which also offers a different, use-based licensing model.

One Fingerprint Contactless Capturing license is included with MegaMatcher 2025.1 Extended SDK. The license can be used on Android or iOS platform. More licenses for this component can be purchased any time by MegaMatcher 2025.1 Extended SDK customers.
