VeriSpeak Embedded SDK

Embedded and mobile voiceprint identification

VeriSpeak Embedded voice identification technology is designed for mobile biometric systems developers and integrators. The text-dependent speaker recognition algorithm assures system security by checking voice and, optionally, phrase authenticity. Voiceprint templates can be matched in 1-to-1 (verification) and 1-to-many (identification) modes with PC-like reliability.

VeriSpeak Embedded is available as a software development kit that enables development of stand-alone or Web-based applications for smartphones, tablets and other devices that are running Android OS.

Advantages of VeriSpeak Embedded

  • Text-dependent algorithm prevents unauthorized access with a covertly-recorded user voice.
  • Two-factor authentication by checking voice biometrics and pass-phrase authenticity.
  • Smartphones and tablets are suitable for voice capture.
  • PC-level recognition quality on mobile and embedded devices.
  • Compatibility and interoperability with VeriSpeak- and MegaMatcher-based products.
  • Reasonable prices, flexible licensing and free customer support.

  • VeriSpeak Embedded 1.1 SDK contents. The SDK is intended for biometric systems developers and integrators and allows rapid development of biometric applications for devices that are running Android OS. VeriSpeak Embedded SDK is able to capture audio from microphones that are built-in in Android devices. Java programming samples and tutorials are included. Read more
  • Recommendations and constraints for speaker recognition. The VeriSpeak Embedded has certain requirements for microphone settings and position, as well as user behavior and environment. A passphrase should be kept secret and not spoken in an environment where others may hear it. Read more
  • System requirements. A smartphone or tablet or other device that is running Android 2.3 (API 9) OS or newer is required. 1 GHz processor recommended for voice sample processing in less than 1 second. Read more
  • Technical specifications. A VeriSpeak Embedded-based Java application processes a 5 second voice sample in less than 1 second and uses 3.5-4.5 kilobytes for the voiceprint template in a database. Read more
  • Reliability and performance tests. VeriSpeak Embedded has been tested with XM2VTS database and Neurotechnology internal database. Read more
